FOG is an independent exploration of fungi through cultivation, research, experimentation, and experience.

Much of our work is driven by curiousity and we can observe first. Culturing genetics, tracking phenotypes, testing cultivation methods, and documenting unusual results. Those observations often open the door to larger questions surrounding fungal biology, chemistry, psychedelic science, and the relationship between fungi and human health.

FOG exists somewhere between the lab, the literature, and lived experience—a place to test ideas, challenge assumptions, document what happens, and occasionally find something we weren't looking for.

Some questions already have answers. The interesting ones usually lead to more questions.
